Doctoral Research Fellow (Plant Genetics)

The Role

  • Drive Precision Phenotyping: Lead germplasm evaluation and high-throughput data analysis focused on key agronomic traits.

Requirements

  • Education: Ph.D. in Botany, Crop Breeding, Plant Genetics, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in phenotypic profiling and a deep understanding of plant physiology.
  • Proven Track Record: A strong publication history as lead or co-first author in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interdisciplinary communication skills and a passion for tackling complex scientific challenges.

Doctoral Research Fellow (Bioinformatics)

The Role

  • Drive Multi-omics Discovery: Lead the integrative analysis of large-scale datasets to unlock actionable biological insights.
  • Architect Bio-computational Tools: Design and implement high-performance computational models to decipher complex regulatory pathways.
  • Advance G2P Modeling: Develop next-generation Genotype-to-Phenotype models to fuel our core Intelligent Breeding algorithms.

Requirements

  • Education: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Tech Proficiency: Mastery of Python/R and Linux; hands-on experience with HPC environments and cloud computing (AWS/GCP).
  • Research Excellence: A proven track record of innovation, evidenced by first-author publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing de novo algorithms or custom machine learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, Graph Neural Networks).

Doctoral Research Fellow (Remote Sensing)

The Role

  • Environmental Analytics: Lead the integration and advanced analysis of multi-source datasets, including meteorological, edaphic (soil), and multi-platform remote sensing data.
  • Envirotyping & G×E Interaction: Develop robust environmental effect models to decipher the complex interplay between crop performance and spatiotemporal environmental factors.
  • Spatial Decision Support: Drive G×E×M (Genotype × Environment × Management) or G×E×P (Genotype × Environment × Phenotype) modeling to provide strategic insights for precision variety design across diverse ecological zones.

Requirements

  • Education: Ph.D. in GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of GIS platforms (ArcGIS/QGIS), remote sensing image processing (ENVI/ERDAS), and proficiency in spatial programming (Python, R, or Google Earth Engine)
  • Scientific Track Record: A proven track record of research excellence with first-author publications in high-impact geospatial or remote sensing journals
  • Applied Experience: Demonstrated ability to apply spatial data science and advanced statistical modeling to solve complex agricultural or ecological challenges
